Welcome to the Arizona State University Chapter of The Institute of Transportation Engineers
ASU - ITE is a group of students interested in entering the transportation field. Our mission is to aid our fellow students in learning more about the profession and finding jobs and internships while at the same time attracting others to the field of transportation. We educate ourselves by attending professional seminars, participating in traffic count opportunities, and taking field trips to local sites of interest. We educate each other through community service and social events, as well as general body meetings.

The abstract for the talk is below. We look forward to seeing everyone on Friday!
ABSTRACT There is much discussion of the need to improve the urban freight system due to increasing congestion, competition for space in urban areas, and changing purchasing patterns. What is the urban freight system and how well is it operating? What role does the urban freight system play in developing more sustainable cities, and how will we make the urban freight system “better”? This talk presents the pioneering work of the Urban Freight Lab; one of the current research thrusts of the Supply Chain Transportation and Logistics Center; for which Dr. Goodchild is the Founding Director. Dr. Goodchild will share the approaches the Urban Freight Lab has taken to address the challenges of urban freight, and their findings to date.
