Dr. Pendyala joined ASU in Fall 2006 after serving on the faculty for the past 12 years at the University of South Florida in Tampa. He teaches and conducts research in multimodal transportation Systems Planning and Engineering. He has published nearly 80 articles in journals, books, and proceedings, completed more than $4 million in sponsored research, and holds leadership positions in professional associations such as the Transportation Research Board and American Society of Civil Engineers.
President: Padmini Gudipudi
Padmini Gudipudi is a PhD student in transportation engineering. She is a master’s graduate from IIT Bombay, India in Transportation Systems Engineering. Her professional interests include multiscale modeling of asphalt concrete, Travel demand modeling, and Sustainable transportation. She was a treasurer for ASU-ITE Student chapter in 2011-12. Apart from her research, she is interested in listening to music, traveling and cooking.
Vice President: Vanessa Humphreys
Vanessa Humphreys is an undergraduate student in Civil Engineering. She earned a bachelor degree in Environmental Sciences and a Masters of Information Systems. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, spending time with her 3 cats, and her fiancée.
Secretary: Sravani Vadlamani
Sravani Vadlamani is a graduate student in Geographic Information Systems (MAS-GIS) at Arizona State University. She earned a Master's Degree in Transportation Engineering from ASU and a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from JNTU, India. She worked as a Transportation Engineer for the Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) and is a certified Engineer-In-Training (EIT) from the Arizona State Board of Technical Registration.She was the Vice-President for ASU-ITE in 2008-2009.In her spare time, she enjoys reading and cooking.
Treasurer: Akshay Gundla
Akshay is presently pursuing his Masters in Transportation Engineering at Arizona State University. He received his Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from the University College of Engineering, Osmania University in Hyderabad, India. His research interests are in pavements and materials with a special focus on Reclaimed Asphalt Pavements, Rheology of Asphalt binders. In his spare time he loves playing pool, reading, and experimenting with and cooking new food.
Srivatsav Kandala, is currently doing PhD in Transportation Engineering at Arizona State University. Mr.Kandala has a master’s degree in Transportation Engineering and a Graduate degree certificate in Statistics from Arizona State University. He received his Bachelor’s degree from JNTU University in India. He is a certified Engineer-In-Training (EIT) from the Arizona State Board of Technical Registration. His research interests include freeway bottleneck analysis, traffic transitions, intelligent transportation systems and statistical analysis.
Fundraising Director: Ellie Volosin
Sarah "Ellie" Volosin is a Ph.D. student in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in transportation systems. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from ASU in 2008 and her Master's Degree in 2010. Ellie was the treasurer for ASU-ITE in 2008-2009 and the president in 2011-2012. This year, she looks forward to helping ITE increase its funds and improve its programming. Her professional interests include travel behavior analysis, travel behavior modeling, transportation simulations, and transportation survey methods. In her spare time, Ellie enjoys reading, jogging, singing, and spending time with her husband, 2 cats, and 2 chickens.

Rohit Ramesh is a Master of Science in engineering student currently in his last semester. His focus of study is Transportation Engineering. He earned his Bachelors from R.V.College of Engineering, India in Civil Engineering. His master’s focus has been more towards construction and pavement engineering.
Other than this, his hobbies include music, movies, motor sports, biking and racing.

Marisa Lopez is currently a junior majoring in Civil Engineering considering a focus in transportation. She is the Recruitment and Outreach officer of the Institute of Transportation Engineers.

Peter is a senior in Civil Engineering currently in his last semester as an undergraduate. His primary interest in transportation lies in the areas of operational planning and research. In his spare time, he can be found traveling and photographing whatever crosses his path.
